The dash that came with my car is a silver colored, kind of wrinkled looking affair. Someone tried to repaint it or do something to it and it's a mess. What is this finish called and how do I replicate it? '29 coupe. Verd

Foolish me. It's the instrument panel, not the dash that has this finish. Looks like it was originally this way and then someone tried to "fix" an area on it and burned it or something. I'll try to get a picture a little later.

Thanks, JYD. Is there any place I can get this finish replicated?

So where can I get the correct paint and find out the proper proceedure? Kind of sounds like an interesting project. Thanks again, jyd.

Hammertone is a bit different than wrinkle paint. The way I see it: wrinkle paint produces ridges and hammertone depressions in the paint surface.
