I have a loose gray wire that powers the dash lights. I don't know where this wire connects to so the lights work.
Does anyone know where to hook it up to?

Your 1957 shop manual should have a wiring diagram showing the wire in question.

Does the end of the wire have a spade connector or is it bare at the end? If the loose wire is over on the far driver's side and has a spade connector there should be a connetion on the light switch. Gray is instrument lights for sure.

If it's bare at the end it might be that it came apart at the spade connector and it might be still connected at the switch? Try that. dance
