OP Chevy1778 Backyard Mechanic Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 229 Wisconsin, USA	I have a loose gray wire that powers the dash lights. I don't know where this wire connects to so the lights work. Does anyone know where to hook it up to? For a 1957 Chevrolet Last edited by Chevy1778; 06/21/13 10:32 PM.

If the loose wire is over on the far driver's side and has a spade connector there should be a connetion on the light switch. Gray is instrument lights for sure. If it's bare at the end it might be that it came apart at the spade connector and it might be still connected at the switch? Try that.
