I just pulled the switch assembly from my 1936 truck and want to know how to redo the wire that runs from the switch to the coil that is in the flex metal. The wire that is on the unit is pretty bad.

I have coated all my cloth covered wire in polyurathane seal. It will insulate even bare wire. They also make a plastic seal that is spray on. Check the G & D for Marx/Mark Parts...715.652.2405 I think they sell wire. I would use the old wire to pull the new wire through the flex metal. Or you could use a stiff wire to run it through and then attach your new wire and pull it back through. Hope this helps.
