Ok guys, a friend needs a driver's side door for a 1956 Nomad. Are these doors unique to Nomads. Will a two-door hardtop or convertible door fit a Nomad? I realize the glass is different but is the door itself different? Are the doors different from year to year? I realize the trim is different but will a '55 door or '57 door fit a '56? I know you guys know the answers. Thanks in advance.

Seems to be a difference of option here. You guys want to arm wrestle over who's right?

The '55-'57 Nomad doors are the same except for the holes for the trim.

Chipper, I think Gene is right. They are special doors. The ends where it meets the b pillar curve down to fit. Let's look into this a bit further. Agrin

I meant the other way around. Nomad doors are straight across and the hardtop slopes down. I imagine it can be done but they don't really fit.

OK, I think I've got it. Nomad doors are unique to Nomads. All Nomad doors are the same except the holes for the trim. I knew you'd know the answer. Thanks.
