Chased an Electrical Short to the internals of my Generator. Putting a spare on the car and then taking the failed unit apart. Any common suspects here? Thanks as always, Al W.

Shorted armature or field coils are most common. Would check field coils first.

Thanks Chipper. I'm preparing a spare to put on. I imagine that will be a DOA for that Generator. It sure does pay to save spare stuff! Al W.
