Does anyone know if Chevy ever put their spare on the drivers side in 1936? I know GMC did and that's what differentiated them, that and the 7 foot bed compared to 6 feet on the Chevy.
This truck on Ebay also has the fenders welded to the valance. Do you think someone used GMC fenders and that's the reason for the weld and the spare on the drivers side? What are your thoughts on the originality of the truck and it's value? Thank You....

I bought the same question to the Old GMC web site as well. I asked the seller if he had changed the fenders and he stated that he got the truck with the spare tire on the drivers side fender. Someone mentioned on the GMC site they thought the Suburbans had the spare on the drivers side.

The truck also has a repair to the frame by the steering box and I was told its hard to steer. I'm wondering if it got hit in the front end. That's why it has different(GMC) fenders that needed to be welded to the sheet metal under the radiator to get them to fit.
I'm passing on this one.
