If any one out there has taken apart the Town and Country Horns I would like to here from you. When I separated the trumpet from the mechanism I found that the trumpet will not go through the grommet (support). Is the threaded part soldered to the trumpet? Tim 5049 406-363-7438 lbeilby@gmail.com

Do you have any pictures showing what you're referring to? My horns went through the grommets and bracket just fine. To answer your question, yes the threaded end is permanently attached to the horn bell.

Tiny,
Sorry, I have been out of town since Thursday. The threaded end of the horn bell will not slip through my grommets which are the orginal ones which I was trying to save, as I do not know if I can replace these. Is the treaded part soldered to the horn bell?

I don't know. Replacement grommets are available. I believe they are sold by about all of the vendors. They aren't cheap but you can get them.
