I finally finished up my turn signals and everything, well, almost everything, works as it should. The one small glitch is that when I put the signal lever on for a left turn, the light on the end of the stalk blinks normally once and the next two blinks get dimmer and dimmer and then nothing other than the clicking noise. The signals are working though. I am thinking there may be a problem with the flasher or the switch itself. I don't know what else it would be. Any suggestions? And by the way, the painted front parking light glass looks great! Beamer

The front ones were a little nasty so I sand blasted them and put on three coats of bright white. They reflect great through the amber painted lenses. I left the rear original as they are in excellent shape. They are a silver grey but reflect a bright light. Beamer

When I installed turn signals on my '41 I put a thin piece of plastic around the mast jacket to protect the paint. The light on the end of the lever wouldn't flash at all until I ran a small wire to ground against the mast jacket (underneath my plastic piece).

I thought about a ground problem but with the signals working, I thought they were grounded O.K., but I will try your suggestion. Thanks. Beamer
