I am working on the restoration of a 1932. Now I know it is a cabriolet. The data plate from the engine compartment indicates: Fisher Body Corp. Job No. 32568 Body No. 0 181 (there is a space between the 0 and the 181) Trim No. 19 Paint No. 5
Could anyone provide more details on what these numbers mean or where I could find info? Regards

The O 181 indicates the 181st 32568 built at the Oakland California plant. You're missing a number for the paint code.
It could be Combination #95 or #125 Interior should be Genuine Leather Tan Spanish grain Joe

Do the first two digits of the job number indicates the manufacturing year?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately the paint code number was lost because the data plate was perforated at this point. Do you know what are the color combinations for paint codes #95 and #125? Regards Gerardo

Thank you very much for the very complete information. I am reading in wikipedia that the 1932 cars are known as the series BA Confederate. Does it mean that my 32568 is also considered to belong to the series BA Confederate?

Yes the BA designation is for '32 cars (not trucks). 1929 cars were designated AC, International Model, 1930 cars were coded AD, Universal Model, 1931 cars were coded AE and referred to as Independence Models, and 1932 cars were coded BA, Confederate Models. Trucks carried same model name as cars, but a different code, i.e. LQ, LR, LS, LT, ..... Good luck with yours, lots of debate here on which model is preferred, 1931 or 1932!!
