I am working on the heater for my '50 Styleline Deluxe heater. I'm trying to find a set of installation instructions so I can adjust the cables. I still have one cable that won't move that I think goes to the valve? The control that mounts to the left lower dash has 3 levers that have cable connected to them and one also has the fan switch that works of the lever.
Thanks Don

Maybe this info for 1951 Chevrolet passenger cars can help:
> 986492 Air Flow Heater - passenger car
> 986513 Recirculating Heater and Defroster - passenger car

The unit in my '50 appears to be the Air Flow Heater. Anyone know for sure if the '51 is the same? It looks like I have a problem with the temperature control valve. I can't move the cable that is connected to it. Is the valve a serviceable part or should I search for a replacement?
Thanks Don

Can you remove the cable and move it back and forth in the housing? Likewise, with the cable removed, can you turn the valve by hand? If the valve is stuck, a bit of PB Blaster may take care of it. I always try to repair before thinking about replacing if at all possible.
