OK, so looking at the Filling Station Paper Fuel Filter FS-235 I have read Pros and Cons on this Filter.
My first question is will this filter will fit into the stock 1929-1931 Glass Fuel Bowl on the fuel pump ??
Next Pros and Cons, I would like to hear from those that have it installed and use it.
Pros: Like it as it filters out the smaller elements that get by hte Brass Screen/ Filter and Sediments that do NOT settle in the bottom of the bowl.
Cons: Say that it puts extra strain on the Fuel pump ?
Also is FS-235 the same Identical Part as AC Delco GF149 ??
Just trying to learn more about the 1929-1931 Chevrolets and expand my knowledge and understanding...

Well BearsFan,I can only tell you that I put one on my 31 Coach about 4 years ago and have actually noticed no noticeable difference in anything. The filter did get good and dirty for about one summer. Then I took it out and cleaned it off with carb cleaner and compressor blowgun and reinstalled.Yes,it fits real nicely. As to the fuel pump workin harder,I got no way of knowing but there is no evidence that I notice.

Hey BearsFan315!
So there really are 2 different filters...I have listed the numbers here on the site a few different times. One that I found and then one which Steve from the Filling Station has found. You can use the AC numbers or the NAPA numbers which I have listed....I find that the AC filters are better.
Now the difference....you need the smaller filter, which the Filling Station has if you have a thick wall glass bowl. If you have the thin wall bowl, which I like to use then you can use the filter from the GF-48 filter.
I have used it on my Dad's 32 roadster for at least 10 years or more with no problems. Before installing I have carb problems all the time. Yes it works better then the brass screen. When I build my pumps I install both the screen and paper filter.....these pump push about 3 to 5 lbs and pull about 15 inches, that is if I remember right. I have put a gauge on before and after and no difference. Also I know Steve has put many miles on his cars with this filter.....he drives them all at least 2000 to 4000 miles a years.
Let me know if you have any questions.
