First post on here .. hi every one..
has anyone got a link to the aftermarket turn assembly that attaches to the steering column.
My local authority deems that the clean looks of the 38 coupe would be better served with more lights than it comes with as factory standard
Seems to be a fairly common item . wawuzit's coupe from earlier this year had it fitted (chrome) and have seen on lots of other cars as well

cheers

Ollie.

Hey Ollie,

First, welcome to Chevy Chatter and hopefully to VCCA in the future. This is the right place to get answers to your Chevy questions.

If you need a turn signal unit, just click on the Filling Station advertisement on this page and chase it down from there. They have them and a gazillion other items for our Chevys.

Or click below....

www.fillingstation.com

or

www.chevsofthe40s.com

Good Luck and come back often.

Jim Carter Truck Parts 1.800.862.1913 has out of sight, behind the dash, no clamp on steering column. Only a toggle switch lever is seen below the dash. Beep tone, signal on. Keeps a more original dash appearance. Maybe what you are looking for?

Hi ollieo I would use a new flasher unit capable of 80 flashes per minute, otherwise the cellphone generation driving behind you doesnt have the time between sms's to wait for your indicators to flash.Get a 7 wire turn signal unit so you can wire your existing stop lights for turn signals, then you only have to change the park lamp holder in front for a double contact lamp holder.

Only one stop light . master coupe.
For local regulations I will need to have turn signals each side. So as not to change the car I will put removable units (small) attached to the bumper bar (stealth) , also need reflectors each side.Local parts store has LED brake/park/reflector indicator units i can wire in with connectors so I can strip when I get to club events.I understand that an LED flasher unit is needed.
Probably not a bad idea with the number of psychotic, blind, irrational uncoordinated road users I encounter daily.don't get me started !!

Ollie, I'm no "electroqutionist" but from experience with LEDs on motorcycles, you can likely get by with using an Electronic Flasher (instead of the old type Flasher). It will flash all incandescent bulbs, a mix of incandescent & LED bulbs or all LED bulbs.

Good luck - -
