Hello ,
I just drove my ' first ever ' 41 chevy 1/2T from Northcenteral calif. to Seattle. Only had to stop for gas !

4" centerlines front tires/ 10' centerlines rear.
12 Volts system.
Mileage: 22-25mph, sipped gas

calif H/R trucks lack wipers & heaters generally speaking.
Of the 4 boxes of parts in the bed, one contained the heater unit..
1. now all i need is the wiper motors,

Although I like them, this really isn't the forum to be bringing up hot / street rod mods. The VCCA is an organization dedicated to the preservation / restoration of vintage Chevrolets, as they were built by the Chevrolet Div. and there's a lot of people on this board that believe cutting up an old Chevy is tantamount to murdering their kids !! mad

Having said that, here's a couple of places that should have what you're looking for:

The Filling Station..

Chevy's of the 40's.....

Good luck,

...That sounds awfully good for a 327 - 350 hydro
What rear ratio are you running on that big old truck, 1 to 1?

bastardizing old chevys sort of like
putting vinyl siding on the white house

Just to make myself clear, I wasn't passing judgement - just stating that this isn't the right place to be discussing hot rods or radical modifications to old cars........but I DO think we have enough laws in this country, without adding an anti-hot rod law laugh wink

Since you have converted your truck to 12 volts try Newport Engineering for a motor. they have bolt in replacements for many old vacume wiper motors. I have used them several times in the past and I have one in my 37 Pontiac.
This site is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Chevrolets and does not encourage the modification of them.
It is your truck to build as you see fit, so enjoy your new project and please continue to come here to ask questions, and seek advice! By doing that your truck will be on the road quicker and parts you no longer need will help someone else get their pride and joy back on the road for all Chevrolet lovers to enjoy

I am going to grow up someday!
