Hi, finally getting my grandpa's '50 4-door painted and we're trying to figure out the interior colors, which we want to keep original. Am I correct that the door sills inside should be the same paint and color as the exterior (Falcon Gray in my case)? Also, as far as the dash goes, I see from earlier threads that the dark gray is "Titan Gray Metallic" and the light gray is "Silver Gray" . . . can anyone help me with the best place to buy those? Is it even possible to buy them pre-mixed? Has anyone tried TCP Global for these? Thanks a million!

Falcon Gray is very different from Titan gray. All Deluxe models used te Titan gray which has a more blue/green cast.

Thanks Gene. My correct exterior color was Falcon Gray, and I know that the dark gray on the dash is Titan Gray. Are you saying that the inside door sills (is "sills" the right word?) are Titan as well? The gentleman painting my car says that the doors can be painted inside and out in Falcon Gray, and I'm just trying to make sure he's right. Thanks again!

In a nutshell all the interior metal parts are Titan gray EXCEPT the lower half of the dash is light gray and the rim of the steering wheel. A while back there was a discussion here on the correct Titan gray. Perhaps if you do a search you will find it.

I think I did find it, and it's very informative. Only thing I wasn't sure about was whether the inside door sills are Titan Gray--thanks for telling me they are!--and also where I might be able to buy Titan Gray and the "Silver Gray"/lighter gray. Sounds like maybe I have to have them mixed by an auto paint shop? To match, for example, the inside of the glove box? Guess I was hoping someone would tell me that a company like TCP Global (aka autocolorlibrary.com) has it ready-mixed and good quality.

Whe 'New" ready mixed was the only way it was available. I doubt if it is available that way today. A good auto paint shop should be able to match it if you have a good sample.
