Are the rear taillight on a ’35 master and a ’36 standard use the same cups? My father has a ’35 and has the mount for the right rear taillight, but he does not have the cup. From what I have read, the right taillight was an option in ’35 is this correct.

Thanks, Adam

They have different part numbers so they are not the same.

I had what i determined to be a 1935 1936 chevy master right hand tail light POT, because it did not mate up with properly 1933--35 standard or 33--34 master tail light arms. I sold it on ebay in february.

The master pot had a small 90 degree bracket riveted on the back that slips into the tail light arm, and is held in place by a threaded bolt/screw.

I see no reason why the 36 standard would have different tail light pots or mounting arms ?????

From what I know, the 35 lights mounted to the trunk lid. Where the 36 mounted to the sides of the trunk.

The '36 Standard right tail light mounts on the fender not the trunk. I has the tab to mount on the arm with a bolt.
