I need the driver side splash shield for a 1936 GMC 1/2 ton. I have a picture of one in another GMC and would like to see what the splash shield lookes like in the 1936 Chevrolet 1/2 ton to see if they are the same. Thanks

Dunfire, FYI '34-'36 Chevy trucks of all sizes use the same engine side pans...well, sort of. One side (drivers, I think) was changed for '36 but became the replacement for '34 and '35. Maybe this will expand your search.

Jim, if you could at your convenience, email a few pictures of the shields to me. I would be suprised if the passenger side is the same, but the drivers side should be the same. Thanks

The drivers side has a hole at the rear for the exhaust pipe. Where does the exhaust dump on your GMC/ Olds? engine.

My '36 1/2 ton Commercial Truck has the hole for the crank case vent also in the engine side pan left side. They are listed as left and right in the parts book. Right side has no holes in it. Also, '34 DB, '35 EB, '36 FB all pans fit each other per the parts book. In the last 1/2 of '36 you will see that the exhaust hole becomes elongated. Hope this helps.

The driver side shield is a ribbed sheetmetal with no cutouts of any kind. Makes me wonder if the Chevrolet passenger side would work on the driver side of my GMC. A picture would be helpful of the Chevrolet shields.

Jim sent me some pictures of his engine shields and as I suspected, the GMC shields are completely different. Next step is to get some dimensions of one from a friend of mine and make one. Thanks to all for your help.
