The film was made by Jim Bates of Alexander Film Company in 1957 for Chevrolet. You can see a very low resolution version of it on utube at:

I would like to borrow or rent a copy of this film for the Middle West Meet this year to promote the Middle West Meet in Colorado Springs for 2014. I have asked the GM Heritage Center but they do not have a copy. If any of you have a copy please send me a PM.

Jim, They are the original 16MM sound films.
If you can convert them to disc I could send them to you.

That film was very interesting. I hadn't seen it before.

If I'm not mistaken, that was a 6 cylinder engine. If so, why was it chosen over the V-8? Did the six have more low end torque than the eight? Interesting.
