Please help! I need the rod cap bolt torque spec. An old "Motor Manual" has 50-60 ft lbs listed, but that seems too tight. Any more reasonable numbers available.

Hi Baxter,

Some discusssion on a 33 engine indicates about 35-40ft/lbs. Check the link from Bill Barker - My Original Torque Page:

Use the 216 Chevrolet specs that were 35 to 45
