I am obsessing to get the color right. I take it that the blue color on the hood emblem, trunk emblem and hubcaps, are all the same shade of blue, correct?
Any big auto paint companies have that color? How about the red on the hood emblem? What red is that and is it available? Just want to get it right the first time. Thanks, Bill

I had the same quest to find the correct blue for the bowties on the hub caps of my '54 truck. I emailed the GM Heritage Center and was told that Chevy Truck "Mariner Blue" was the color used on the bowties on '54 truck chrome hub caps, and I assume on the hood emblem. Don't know if that is true for your passenger car.

I couldn't find a description of colors used on 1951 passenger car emblems and trim, but I did find it for 1951 trucks. Although it just says "blue".

I don't know a close match for Vermillion on the emblems. Anyone know?
