Would anyone know how many 31 5 passenger coupes were build in Canada. I have seen the Canada/US production numbers. What I would like to know is the production in Canada.

If it isn't broken, fiddle with it anyway so you have something to repair.

Hey Paul... The guy to ask would have been David Hayward. Since his passing, I read here that a lot of his research and records were written down and kept. Not sure if anyone in the VCCA would know if they were passed to a fellow member by his family. Most of his work was on Canadian and European production. It'll take me a few days to look through some of the stuff I have from him. My Dad did a bit of leg work for him back in the days of snail mail. I've seen a lot of stuff like engine serial #'s, but I'm not sure about bodies. If you're putting this info together for the reason I think you are, let me know the details ... I may want to start begging Jane for another one!

VINTAGE VEHICLE SERVICES at GM Canada 1-905-440-7697 used to supply canadian production figures for a fee. Not sure if they still do it.???

I went through the info that I have from David Hayward, and unfortunately it is all 1930, and wartime truck production numbers. I do have the yearly production numbers for GM of Canada. In 1931 GM built 17867 Chevrolets for domestic and export markets.

This number I assume from the literature that I read was production both in Canada and the United States. Is there anywhere where we can get just the production in Canada OR just the production in the United States?

The numbers listed are for US assembly plants. Canada and overseas assembly numbers are not included.
