In the top center of the inside windshield garnish molding there are 2 holes tapped for 12x24 screws. I believe there is a "filler" piece that covers these holes and matches the moldings. Does anyone have an answer or have the "filler" piece? Thank You...JIM

Jim,

If you are looking at the top of the windshield garnish where the garnish frame meets in the middle, this is where the rear view mirror is mounted.

Hi Einar: Thanks for the information. On the old upholstery it looks as though the mirror was mounted into the wood. What could possibly have the same mounting imprint? JIM

Jim,
I not sure. I just know that the mirror is mounted to the garnish frame in the center. That is how the mirror is mounted on my car.

Jim, the upholstery folds under the garnish molding. It is possible that the screws holding the mirror extended into the wood.

Hi Pat: I do not know about mthe upholstery folding under the garnish molding; like everything else on this car, the upholstery was torn apart & stuffed in boxes. I did learn that the sun visor swings from windshield position to the driver door for blocking sun. Thanks...JIM
