Need help again !!!! I'm reworking an aftermarket motorala radio for my master deluxe --but what I really need is this --the antenna is a side cowl mounted item with the btm. part a pc of hard plastic cut in half, shaped like a teardrop, black in color . What I'm looking for is a material to make a "gasket" to take up the curvature of the cowl vs. the curvature of the "teardrop" .Is there a material and how do you work it to form the gasket, was thinking of a pc. of rubber but I'm not that good with an exacto knife ---any suggestions ???

Gene--remember this is an aftermarket radio, the btm. pc. is (I believe called "bakealite" )4 inches top to btm. and 1 3/4 inches left to right ,shaped like a teardrop, with two holes drilled into the cowl- a 1/4 " hole then above it a 1/2 " hole they appear to have been a do it yourself project .I'm looking for some mat'l to make a "gasket" to take up the diferent curvature (both are pretty close to each other but not the same )

Go to your local glass shop that installs window glass in automobiles. Ask for a few inches of his glass setting tape. If you are very careful you can mount the antenna and then very carefully trim the excess.
