This really has me stumped. I have 2 rocker arms on my 37 that are not getting oil pumping up through the oil hole on top of the arm. I found that if I move the rocker against the spring, away from it's normal resting spot on the rocker shaft, away from the stop, oil begins to squirt up out of the hole. Can the hole in the rocker shaft possibly be in the wrong position. The 2 rockers are not together on the shaft and the rockers past them are getting oil so the rocker shaft is not clogged. I would assume that the hole under the 2 rockers are open cause as I said if I move them back while the engine is running a good amount of oil begins to squirt out of the holes.

The pre 1941 rocker arms has brass bushings. Its possible that for some reason the bushing is installed incorrectly and its center oil grove is not lining up with the hole on ths bottom of the rocker shaft--or the bushing is worn and the grove is worn too shallow--or the hole in the shaft is is obstructed or shaft is worn????The top hole is not the problem. Time for a little inspection.
If you need an arm or two I may have some good used ones....The exhausts are all the same-inlets come in right or left.Numbers are also on arms.
