i'm still working on my 66 bel air project. question, was the fire wall painted the same color as the body or was it black? thanks

From mid 1963 and up it is black.

Hi Jerry and Gene,
I know on '65-'70 firewall is black. I have seen at least 2 different shades of original black on firewalls on B-platform.Neither were remotely glossy either. Jim
