When the accessory foot scrapers are installed, is it necessary that the rocker molding be cut? Seems that they'll not fit otherwise.

I keep seeing a set on the green 41 cabriolet that is always (it seems) among the Hershey show cars but I keep forgetting to look to see how the rocker moldings (outside the scrapers) are mounted.

Does anyone have any information on this set up and/or a picture of them installed, especially at the front fender area?

Ray, Gene, Chipper, et al?

Thanks,
Charlie computer

Charlie, your right the rocker must be cut and the cut ends inserted in to the rubber block that was part of the instalation kit.
You can see it here, next to last picture.

Chev's of the 40's has a reprint of the instructions (tells you where to cut), repro rubber block and the attaching screws and clips.

Thanks for the pictures. I can see that the rubber covers the cut/split in the rocker moldings.

I think I might install mine. I'm not crazy about them but they're not that bad either.

Not as bad as the fender skirts without the short piece between them and the rocker moldings.

Someone at last years Carlisle/Hershey told me that someone was making the skirt moldings out of rodker moldings under support stuff.

Anyone know about this latter thing?

Thanks,

Charlie,
Someone offers a repro Skirt Trim. 'wish I could recall who. I just tripped over 'em. You might do a Google search on the piece and find 'em.

Good hunting -
