I sold a guy a light switch but he says it is too wide...i advertized it as 1925-1927 Chevy it is for an opening about 4" tall and 2 5/8" wide but he says the switch needs to be about 3" tall and 1 3/4" wide. I tols him that sounds like the size of 1928 and 1929 Chevy Passenger car...I suspect his vehicle is titled incorrectly or someone swapped the dash. Or did Chevy change the 1927 dash in mid-year? I have several of these switches and one even has the key and ignition switch(1925 unique). But i do not have any extra 1928 or 1929 light switches to give up as they go with complete sets switch-speedo-guages.

The left one fit 25-27. The right one fit 28.
The width of the 25-27 are 67,3 mm and for the 28 the width are 50,0 mm

The switch to left in the photo is a 1926 Chev light/ignition switch,as it has the aluminium surround. The same switch for 1925 models used a nickle plated brass surround. The '26 style switch was also used in 1 ton trucks up to 1928,when it was replaced by a combination ignition/light switch that used no key.

That's the 1927 passenger car light switch. There were 2 manufacturers,CLUM or Delco-Remy,there were 2 different size hand levers and the ignition switch was the flick switch under the dash panel as part of the steering column lock.
