thought the radio questions, had to be in the "correct" section in order to get answers.
i`m new on here, been a member for years, but seeing questions not answered because of "not in the correct section" it starts to get confusing.
i figured that this is a radio antenna, what better place than the radio section.
if i went to the "wanted" section, one would have to hope guys reading it would know what a turret top antenna is

You can also post in the "Parts Wanted" forum as well which would give you more coverage for fellows to see your request for the Turret Top Antenna. When looking for rare parts it is always good to cover all of the bases that you can in the hopes that someone might have what you need. Good luck and hopefully someone will have that elusive antenna.

Sorry about the badgering for where you have made a post. Normally this type advice is given in a PM so you are not embarrassed. Your point is well made as to how many people would understand what you were after. Hang with us and we will get it right.

Just to be clear, my intent was not to "embarrass" anyone. We are all here to help one another out by giving advice, knowledge or general information. Clearly MR59 was looking for a hard-to-find part and by giving him a suggestion about another forum in which to post as well may help him to further broaden the scope of his search. There are many other users who post similar constructive suggestions regarding various forums in an attempt to help new users and their posts are not considered as "badgering" or as an attempt to embarrass. If giving advice or assistance to a fellow user is "badgering" then I'm not sure what we're all doing here. Who is trying to embarrass whom? If you feel that my post above was out of line, then you, as a moderator, should delete it......otherwise no deprecating comments from you are necessary. Since this is getting off topic, I suggest that you or Billy Boy Barker move part of this thread to the "Members Only" section of Chevy Chatter.

J-Dog---Your post seemed most helpful to me---only giving the man more options to achieve his quest !! No badgering at all in my eyes...You have "redirected" some of my questions in the past and I ALWAYS find your responses to be most helpful!! Maybe Ant Mech just misunderstood your intent...somehow?

Thanks jay32249. Glad that you found my posts helpful to you in the past and I hope to be of help to you in the future as well. Yes, my goal was to give MR59 more options for his search as you stated. Antique Mechanic did not misunderstand....his post was calculated and intentional.
