I am installing a refurbished gas tank on my Model AD Special Sedan. It looks like there is no fuel filter only a bowl that traps large particles attached to the fuel pump . Should I install one? What type and where should I put it? I am trying to keep my car as original as possible.

To get the job done and be out of sight, I would install it near the fuel tank.

The Filling Station sells a micro screen that installs into the top of the sediment bowl you are talking about. I put one on mine and did not have any problems with the fuel system. Other problems but not with debris. Remember it won't filter out water from alcohol laced gas.
