One of my hobbies is building model cars. It gives an outlet to express creative ideas that quite frankly would be too expensive to build in real life. I enjoy seeing factory prototypes, or other peoples vision of what a car could have been, if the idea had been thought of. Today we see these expressions not just through model cars, but also Photoshop and other computer programs.

So here's the rules for this thread. It must be either A) a GM (Chevrolet) prototype, styling exercise, or mock up. B) A photoshop of a fairly stock looking car. C) or a real car that's been redone to look factory original, but is a "phantom"

I'll be adding to this a little slower then the old photos thread!

The first example I have is a Photoshop from the H.A.M.B. site. What if Chevrolet had built a Sport Coupe/El Camino...

The real car...

A styling exercise from Sept.1955 for the 1957 Chevrolet's front bumper and guards. Note the 1956 hubcap.

The 1941 Chevrolet Convertible Sedan... A great idea, but not Chevrolet's! Built by the VCCA Chat's own 41carguy...

Brewster, thanks for putting the 4 door Convertible up.

This isn't photo shop just dooling around with cut and paste and wondered what my sedan delivery would look like if it were a "sedan suburban" Jay

This Suburban woodie was sitting on a Trailblazer chassis notice the shorter wheelbase. Best part it still had the inline six, zoom in on the engine compartment.

The 1954 Motorama show car, the Corvette Nomad. Only one was built, but the idea was integrated into the full size Nomad for 1955...

[Linked Image from i150.photobucket.com]

Now there is a company that has done fibreglass re-pops, and you can build your own Motorama dream car...

They stopped building Chevrolet Utes in Australia in 1952. This 1953 was built in 1:25 scale by jimijazz at scaleautomag.com

...and there's a reason Chevrolet stopped building Fleetlines in 1952! Here's the seldom (never) seen '56 version!

What would the Nomad have looked like if Chevrolet had stuck to the "Sport Wagon" theme? This was on the tables at NNL 2013...

That's the way Chevrolet built them from the factory. The top photo uses a four door sport sedan roofline to expand the passenger area. A bit of extra cab room...

Pretty cool thread. I haven't modeled a car in years but I usually try to build a model of my car's as I complete the actual car. The last one I built was my 73' skytop Nova from a 72' Nova kit.

This one isn't a Chevy, but a styling buck for a Pontiac Ventura, built off of the Corvair chassis. It was never built...

I saw this at an all GM show today. I'm not into street rods too much, but this one was tastefully done. Now picture it bone stock... that's right, Chevrolet stopped building 3 window coupes in 1936. This 1938 owner has hit upon "what could have been"...

Not the ugliest exercise I've ever seen, but this "Vettevan" (or should it be called a "Corrupture")is a contender!

I'd love to see someone build this! The photoshop is a little fuzzy in the nose area. I found the pic by googling "Vettevan" because I had the Hotwheels one when I was little. I wanted to see if anyone had built the full size version, but found this instead!

From the digital mind of Dan Palatnik… This guy is a genius with the computer!

What if Chevrolet went 2 more years with the Fleetline?
