Trying to help an older lady in the car club. She has a '72 Impala with a 350 engine. Side Engine mounts are steel on steel. Her mechanic ordered new mounts from local parts house, won't fit. Will bolt to engine with the three bolts but the two tabs that fasten to frame fitting are too narrow. New ones measure 2.43 inches between tabs. Her old mounts measure 2.6 inches between the tabs. Tried Chevrolet dealer, Filling Station, Ecklers, Obsolete Chevrolet, no one seems to carry the mounts, in fact they don't seem to have ever heard of such a part. I did find one used one at Jim Carter Truck sales. Anyone have a source for them?
