You ever just have that feeling that the cards are stacked against you? I'm having that feeling. It starts off in November 2009, there was the remains of a 29' Chevy roadster on EBay AU that I purchased for a donor car for my roadster, mainly for the rear body section but also the miscellaneous pieces that I was missing. The seller was great, including some literature, etc with the purchase. I contacted with a fella to pick it up off the seller, cut it and package it to ship to me. He vanished with my stuff long story short. I lost interest in the car after that and it sat. Last month, again on eBay. a pair of windshield posts showed up and I placed a ridiculously high bid on them, determined to win them. To my surprise, they ended up costing me only $80 shipped when the auction ended. GUESS WHAT? FedEx lost the package!!!!! You can't believe just how mad I am right now...
Sooooo, if anyone has an extra pair of posts for a 29-31 roadster/pheaton

Might no help, but a good one from the 60's

Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great"
I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

Life's a long winding trail, love Jesus and ride a good horse!
Thanks guys... It's actually kinda funny thinking back at my reaction when the FedEx agent told me they lost them. Restoration gods telling me something for making a hot rod? Oh well, a buddy of mine in Oklahoma said he would let me borrow his to copy if I have no luck finding another pair. He offered before but when these came up I decided to go with the OE ones. Someone at the FedEx terminal in Georgia has a nice pair of paper weights now anyway...

Does the FedEx tracking number give the last location of the package?
Yes, it shows that it was picked up on Jan 30, and scanned at the terminal a few hours later. A " supervisor" is supposed to call me and try to place blame on someone other than themselves Friday morning.

They might show up. I shipped a entertainment unit made up of several packages from the east cost to the west cost and every thing showed up but one large box. About 9 month later it showed up even though Fed Ex paid the claim.
Lord I hope so... The tough to find parts are starting to make me nervous having them shipped...

If the package falls off the conveyor system and is damaged what they consider to be beyond repair you may never know. If the label is obliterated then it may be found if they know what to look for. All they know is it was a box with something in it. Knowing what the something looks like may help find it when they find it on the floor. I have found the FedEx and USPS are the best to trust your shipments. They are not perfect but when items are packaged properly they are close. It is the improperly packaged stuff that gives them fits.

Sounds to me like someone stole it. I've never seen the terminology "Picked up Location KENNESAW, GA". I'm currently tracking a package via FedEx and the different steps always say something to the effect "Arrived at sort facility" then the time it arrived and location of the facility. The next step says "Departed sort facility" and gives the time & location. The last step is "Out for delivery". Today's tracking info:

There was a seller on ebay last week .....hotroddr40.....that was selling 1932 chev roadster aluminum windshield posts that he said were chopped 3 inches lower than stock. Last time i saw these listed was over a year ago. I wa searching for parts for my 35 roadster when i spotted them . No idea how much diff there is between 29--31 and the 1932 posts.
Apparently these originally were from the experi-metal 1932 chev roadster hot rod/ street rod version they made in stainless steel, these are aluminum. The posts have a 1/4"--3/8" wide slot for the glass to fit in and 1/4" deep slot. These are meant for a frameless hot rod look and you would have to make a pattern for cutting your glass to match the cowl top. The guy also said he has a few more sitting at the foundry.
They sold for $95.00 plus postage couple nites ago.
