Now that I had to make my 235 look like a 216 I had to use a road draft tube with the oil cap,I also had to install the splash pans and now I cant use the bracket from the 57 motor since the 57 road draft tube exits a little further back then the original. Did the 216s have a bracket that attached to the lower block to keep the road draft tube from moving and was there a tapped hole in the block to mount it or did it attach with a oil pan bolt,I will probably have to fabricate a new bracket and go to a pan bolt but just wondering how it was done on a 216 originally.
