I have picked up a 38 used 4 terminal regulator. Has anyone seen a set up specification instruction I could give to an experienced tec. To set up and test this regulator?

All of the tests/adjustments that I have ever seen are done on the car with the engine running. I doubt if any of the test equipment could be found in a modern repair shop and last but not least a person that knew how to use it.

In the back of the 38 shop manual there are many pages on the regulator and its adjustments, gap specs and testing, with diagrams & illustrations. Lots of interesting reading.
