My son and I looked at the pictures and think it is Chevrolet 4 cyclinder with the intake and exhaust on backwards. If you look at the hood there are cutouts on the passenger side for exhaust. Do you think it is possible that back 18+ years ago when it was last put up for sale someone assembled parts that we laying around and slapped it together wrong. The passenger side ports on the head look "square" like exhaust on the Chevy.

I agree someone in the past put the intake manifold and exhaust pipes on the wrong sides.
The distance between the mounting bolt holes on both sides are 9 1/4 inches, so it's possible to bolt the intake manifold onto the exhaust ports.
I suspect it didn't run like that. Maybe that's why it's for sale.
