Gents (and Ladies, if present) -

I have found in one of my boxes today what I take to be a Chevrolet hubcap, and I am not able to identify it. And I know these cars fairly well. Would think it looks like about early 1930's, plus or minus a couple of years. Not threaded, though - it snaps in (to what?). So, maybe a center section of a slightly newer year? Appears to be chromed brass. Glanced through some of my directories, and I'm just not seeing anything quite exactly like it. Truck? Can any one tell me what this came from?

It is indeed a horn button! Looking in catalogs, etc, it appears to be '54 and 1st Series '55 truck. I probably could have eventually figured that out, if I wasn't thinking so intently and narrow-mindedly that it was a hubcap. I was trying to figure out what kind of HUBCAP it was, and (for some reason) didn't let my mind think of other things it might be!

Thanks Gene, and Ray and Dean for getting me back on the path of enlightenment.....
