Thanks for thinking of us Ray. Right now there is about two feet of snow and enough wind to push it past the garage doors. The nice part about New England is if you don't like the weather then just wait a few minutes and it will change. We are fortunate today to have things like snowblowers and powershovels etc. I remember a storm as a 12 year old in 1957 that dumped 42" over two days. Shoveling the driveway with my dad and two brothers was quite a chore. Two weeks later we were blessed with another storm that only left 36". The following year people were golfing on Christmas day!! But no one was hollering global warming!!

We're due for about 6 inches tonite and tomorrow. We really need it for skiing, snowmobiling and the moister but will take what we get. Should be in the low 30's today. Hope everything goes OK out East.

There are 36 inches of snow on the ground here.It took me nearly 4 hours to clear the driveway, although all the Interstates are closed.Haven't seen this much since 1978!!
Temperatures are going to go below zero tonight.Spring can't get here fast enough for me!

Cheers,

Dave

We really lucked out here in the Hudson Valley Region of New York..forecasting up near 18", we ended up with 13"... depending on how the wind was blowing... we have family located outside of Boston, 3' plus!!

We got lucky in the Philadelphia area with only 3" or so. Hoping that everyone in the northeast has heat and power until you get dug out.

I am in the 30+ area northwest of Boston. I have a beat-up '78 dodge 250 with a plow (and rotted front frame). I guess I have the best brother in-law a guy could have......He showed up with a front-end loader and cleared my exceptionally long "L" shaped driveway.

I have only experienced a 18" snow storm. It brings out the best in people. Helping each other and looking after those that have limited capabilities comes to the top. Caring about and assisting others is what we all should strive for.

Down here in Aus. 99% don't get any snow, I'd reckon 40% haven't even seen it, I know my kids haven't.
We use our 4 regularly and the worse we get is heat, we had 28 CSPC out both days last weekend, did about 150 miles, and it was hot, around 90 degrees. Keep shoveling and smiling.
