There were 2 accessory radiator caps available for the 1933 model year. The most common is PN# 348952, the winged eagle. The other is PN# 364504 which is listed as ornamental. Both cost the same. Does anybody have a picture of the ornamental cap? Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe: By "ornimental" do you mean the bird like creature also known as a "griffith"? If so, that is what I have for the 34; there are 2 of them on ebay right now......JIM

Joe according to my 1929--1934 master parts price list with pictures part # 348952 is for 1931---1933 ALL EXCEPT CA $3.50 and appears to be the 1931--1932 chevrolet eagle by the picture.
Maybe it also fit panel trucks or pickups, book doesn't list anything for them.

part # 364504 is the eagle with wings pointed upwards that we are all most familiar with as a 33 rad ornament and it is listed as being for CA CC master and standard series

Thanks for pointing that out Mike. The information I was told was completely false. That's why I need to see it for myself....Joe

The 31 to 33 radiator cap is for trucks. Remember the truck line in the early thirties was supported by the prior years automobile sheet metal. A 33 truck looks like a 32 passenger car at first glance for example. In 34 the truck line was supported by its own sheet metal, most of it unique to trucks.
So the info you recieved was not complete but it was not entirely false.

After I saw the pictures in the parts book it was real obvious. The information supports the fact the 1933 Master, Eagle & Standard all had the same part available if you didn't want the plain cap. Thanks, Joe
