Hello
I decided to remover my rocker cover and push rod side panel on my 32, 4 door sedan. They were looking shabby and I wanted to check how much sludge was built up inside. I also plan on removing the oil pan after. I would like to know what kind of paint I should use on the engine side of these covers.
Thanks,
Cliff

The Filling Station has the correct engine color for the 31-32 cars in rattle cans. That makes it pretty easy to paint the smaller parts.

The entire engine is painted the same color, including the oil pan, waterpump and manifold. The exhaust manifold will mostly burn off, and that is the way that you leave it.

so the inside of the parts were not painted. Hmmm !!!
Were they not coated with anything.... I guess not.
I'm a little suprised.
Well thanks everyone for your input and I do know the filling station has the paint in rattle bombs.
Again.... thanks to all who responded.

The inside would have an oil film on it.

I believe that the paint used on the inside of engines is G E GLYPTAL, ( google it spelling ) it looks like red auto primer colour.
