I could get two convertibles for that price, and not worry about termites! But that's just me. I never understand why woodies are so expensive. They come up for sale as often as convertibles, and are way more hassle...

Those accustomed to the finest...find it in Chevrolet.

iagree chef.

Looks like something somebody found behind the barn.
There's a few other details that aren't too hot either.
Engine campartment could use some work.
Steering wheel needs a little help too.

Ahhhh, what do ya want for 80gs

Also in Hemming's over at least as long a period. Looks like a "big shot" SoCal dealer. I don't mean any disrespect....I have no knowledge of the guy. Just saying he has some high dollar sports cars. And this woodie started out at $100....apparently now more interested in selling.

Personally I like the car a lot. Even tho Woodies are still hot as a pistol in the market, I feel it's around $20k high for any reasonable chance of making a sale.

I'd still like to hear thoughts about this car from some of the guys who know....Gene, Excss Fun (can't recall name of son who helped Father), Tom Meleo (who's never here),....And others....

I'll chime in Bill. What I can see in the pictures; wheels not pin striped, no tire cover, top material looks like convertible stay-fast with seams, should be one piece smooth (no grain) vinyl, metal strips on liftgate/tailgate must be hiding something, truck reflectors-lose em. Otherwise a nice car in the 50K range.

NADA average retail is $56,900 and high retail is $101,000. Its a nice rig, but would need some work to be 'perfect'. It looks nice, but I still haven't seen a nicer one than Alan Larson's 1946 this summer. Sure woodies are a lot of money, but they also are one of the most beautiful Chevrolets that were built in my opinion.

Thanks to Jay 41 car guy for his comments. Definitely a man who knows the score on 41-48 woodies.

As Daryl says....they are beauties. I'd sure like to find the right one for me and the Mrs.

Thanks Daryl for the kind words about our car. I certainly don't want to bash anyone's car, but like everyone has said the visor has to go away. Also, the top does not have the right material. I can't understand what the metal strip on the back is for. It almost looks like a piano hinge!!! The upholstery looks like newer type material with no pattern. While restoring our woodie, we looked for the right patterned material for 19 years, then finally found it, but still had to dye it to the correct color. The rest of the car looks pretty good based on the pictures. Yes the asking price is too high. Alan
