Earlier this morning, I was on the phone with a friend and was looking out the window. Two of GM's test vehicles went by. One was what I assumed is the mext version of the Sierra/Silverado pickup. It still has the general square rigged shape of the current one but looks more rounded. It was masked in the grille and tailgate. The other looked for all the world like a Chevrolet version of the Ford Sport-Trac, an SUV cabin with a short pickup box. It sported a bowtie on the tailgate but I couldn't tell what vehicle it was based on. Looked a bit like a Terrain.

Pictures of the new 2014 Silveradr have been in all the magazines. It will not be out til later next year.
The other truck you saw sounds like the new Colorado. It is already in production in Asia and looks great.

As a teaser (for me as well) down here we are being told what will be our 2014 "Holden Commodore" is to be exported to the US as a "Chevrolet ??" model, but it maybe the last model produced entirely in Aus

A couple of years ago the Monaro here also went to the US as a Pontiac GTO but had an engine transplant on the way.

The new Chevrolet "SS" will be on the new Holden Commodore platform. It will be a limited production performance car.

This is not to be confused with the present Caprice which is on the older Holden platofrm and is sold for police use only.

Up til this year the front wheel drive Impala has been the "offical" Chevrolet police car. They make a good city squad. The Milwaukee County sheriff dept. has used them for years for free-way use. The police here is West Allis uses them. In in Milwaukee the taxi companies buy the old Impala police cars and run them as taxi cabs puttting over 400,000 miles on them.
The police in Milwaukee used the Ford Crown Vics....which went out of production a year ago.
