sorry should have been clearer. was looking for a picture of a 31 in the color combo. it lists the car as serge blue with this trim cream and another trim black. was just trying to get a look and decide if i want to restore it to the ornginal color combo or just due the wheels and trim. ( the car was painted black in the 60's and is not in bad shape.

The Filling Station (see suppliers) has a diagram for the painting of '31 Coach. Details Blue Serge was basically the body and hood only and perhaps the window reveals. Everything else was black, including the body from the upper molding up to the fabric top and the lower molding. Wheels in your case would be Cream as would the pin striping. Sunvisor was black, front roof rail over visor was body color and extended down front edges of windshield pillars to cowl. I suggest you buy a diagram its about $10 I think.

I have looked at the color chips on my computer from time to time in search for the different blues available for 1932. On my screen, the chips all look black or very close to it. It would be helpful when discussing colors, to have photos of restored or original cars taken in normal light with the colors identified. Luckily, this is very feasible in this digital age.

The 31 5 window coup that I bought was all black and the cowl tag said it should be serge blue. I started over and painted it serge blue and I love it. Out of the direct light the whole car looks black and in good light or out side it is a very nice blue looks great if I do say so my self. If my wife was here I would post a picture or two. Roger

I have sent you an email with a photo of my car which is serge blue. Keep in mind that the color will vary depending on the lighting.
