OK, got together with design and engineering departments (me)today to see what we (I) could come up with. I ordered this 6 Volt to 12 volt step-upper-thing from The Filling Station so I would have access to a 12 volt source. Looked around under the dash for a suitable place to mount and did not find any place to suit me. So to the drawing board. Figured I would make a bracket to mount the thing with. This is what I ended up with. Pic 1 & 2 shows the bracket and a lighter socket all in one. laugh Found a place to mount out of sight but easy to reach. Did not even have to drill a hole. Used one already there. woohoo Turned the switch to on and had 11.7 volts in the scoket.

For 12v power in my 28 coupe I bought a 12V battery jumper pack for a few bucks and put it on the front floor of my car. Use it for GPS, cell phone and whatever I need. Lasts very long due to low power drain of cell phone or GPS. No wiring needed and it can be removed and stored under seat or in trunk to bring car back to original. Charge it up every few weeks or months depending on use. Better than going through all that wiring stuff and power drain issues.

Just like my wireless turn signals designed for bikers. Works and keeps car original even though it sounds rather unorthodox.

Where did you get wireless turn signals for a 6 volt?

I think he was talking about bicycles. There is another post on this site that has a link to the information but I can,t remember which one if I see it again I will let you know. The unit I'm talking about operates on 3 AA or AAA batteries
