Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great"

I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/

No Problem Grant,

I could just see you digging monty out of the snow every Xmas, and you wouldnt have to worry about rusting away and affecting the lovely paint job, colour code WD400000000000.

Cheers

Ray

Pretty funny! I think Brewster may appreciate this video. Maybe that's how he finds his cars.
Thanks for posting.

Love that video... but it's definitely Newfie humour! Best way to describe that is, it's like some guy from Tennessee ...when you live in N.Carolina! Rusty Chevy is the same though!

Tell my guys,

When its that cold over there, how do you stop your modern cars from freezing up. Just anti freeze or do you have to take other precautions.

Makes me shiver just to think about it, and by the way its going to be 38 - 40C or in your terms 104 F today in Melbourne.

Cheers

Ray

Pretty much just test the anti freeze before the cold season hits. A block heater is also a bonus for really cold days. Seat heaters are a great invention! The main thing I do different from you guys is get my car Rust Checked. When I buy a new car, I go straight to my Krown Rust Control guy, and he drills holes into all of the door jambs, sills, etc. Then they use a four foot wand to apply rust protectant to the insides and enclosed areas of the car. They also coat the bottom and under the hood. They plug the holes with a cap, and it's good to the next fall. My G6 is six years old, and looks as good as the day it left the lot. I have friends that don't want to spend the money, and wonder why they're car shopping after four years!
