I have a 46 chevy pickup that I want to protect the exterior as is. The exterior was painted green and has dings, dents and very little rust. I hear there is some kind of clear coat that will protect the exterior. thanks larry

Gidday Fellas,

Which in turn will most likely crack, peel or go to s#@t way before the any good, solid, old exterior paint will.

Just keep giving it a good wipe over with some sort of "anti-corrosive" type of spray that you prefer.

But in saying that I am no spray painting expert, so others will know better and it also depends on what type of "look/shine" you are after and how much elbow-grease you like to put into your vehicle.

Cheers Grant.
