On the hand brake there is retangular plate at the base of the hand brake. Where does this plate attach to prevent rattles? Thank you...JIM

If that's the plate with two indentations that ride on a Pin, in my car i put it just under the floorboards and it moves back and forth with the lever. It sits flush, just under the floorboards.
Best Regards, Pat

Hi Pat: This plate is flat and rests at the bottom of the hand brake handles. It seems to me that would be a maddening constant rattle. Thanks for the resonse...JIM

Ahhh! my '36 hand brake has a rubber spacer between the rod and main handle that moves that part you are talking about. The rubber helps keep the rod steady and that keeps the shaking from happening.

Your talking about the part which seals the e-brake hole, there is a rubber that is part pushes on.
