Anybody out there have one of these rear windows/frame for sale for a 1933? I believe the same for other years as well. Any leads?

Jeff

Jeff,

Isn't the Roadster and Phaeton a rectangular shape? The one pictured is definately for Cabriolets. They may be different and this needs to be checked in your Master Parts book.

I seem to recall that Hampton Coach (LeBarron Bonney) offered these with the convertible top assemblies they sell for the Cabriolets. In fact they will install their repro frame with their top and at one time would not install one not manufactured by them.

They may have the same arrangement for Roadster and Phaeton top assemblies.

Also I puchased a reproduction Cabriolet frame from Dick Moffit in Minnesota. I do not have the name of his company with me but it is a possible lead.

Hi Chris,

All cars from 32 to 38 used the same frame as Jeff had pictured. No different between a Roadster/Phaeton or a Cabriolet/Landau. They are all the same and the same for all GM cars.

The window that Hampton Coach has is not right at all.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Bruce,
Thanks for this input. I finally got a chance to look at my master parts book and it supports your answer. Good to know the accuracy of the Hampton Coach frame as well as well.

Got an email reply today from a lady at LeBaron Bonnie about the rear window frame and they only have the rounded ends type, for fords not the nicer chevrolet style one.
