Does anyone have a rocker panel for a 1934 cabriolet that I can purchase or borrow long enough to make a copy of it. I will be happy to cover any costs.
Thanks
John

viewing a picture of the one that was listed on ebay recently, that door is really long and i think your required donor rocker panel will have to come from a 3 window coupe,or a 2 door sedan.

The rocker panel for a 34568 is all by itself. Fit's no other car or year. The way it was explaned to me was the 1934 Master coach is an inch longer & a 1933 coach would be an inch too short..Joe

well i guess the 34 conv owner will have to measure his left side rocker panel and use that end to end measurement , to see if it matches up to the 3 window coupe one. They sure look same length in pictures.

Also a couple of right side 34 master rocker panels could be butt TIG welded together to obtain the right length > Making one of those rockers from sheet metal would be very expensive at $60--80 hour labour costs. The flat areas are easy its that gentle curve that follows door thats the B.... .

I just measured to door and door opening. Looks like the Rocker panels need to be at least 39 inches long. If anyone has something that could be spliced together, please let me know. (805) 484-0907.
Thanks

In looking at my 34 Cabriolet the running boards and fenders are the same for all fisher body master cars except the town sedan. The running board apron is part of the running board. The door sill sheet metal (or rocker panel?) would have a notch cut into it for the placement of the lock pillar. The lock pillar would vary in distance from the hinge pillar with the different body styles like coupe or two door. The curve should be the same?

I hope this is correct because I am hoping to use rocker panels from a two door sedan on my 33 Cabriolet. I would just modify the placement of the notch for the lock pillar.

I will try to get a picture of the door sill sheet metal on my 34 Cabriolet this week along with a few dimensions.

Like i said before, some of these model specific parts like for : roadsters , tubs or converts, it might make a lot of sense $$$$$$ wise to get the longer rocker panels from a coach, a car a lot of were made.

Get a couple of pairs and splice them together by butt welding and using TIG system to do it. That way you have the minimum amount of grinding and refinishing .
