The window handles are held in place with a "U" clip and it takes a special tool to remove the clips. You can also remove the clips with a small ice pick or a small flat blade screwdrier.

2AE95710 is not a VIN number, it is a car serial number. VIN numbers were not used until the 1960's.

"2" indicates that your car was made in the Tarrytown, New York factory.

"AE" is the series, which is 1931 Independence.

"95710" means that your car was the 94,710th car made in the Tarrytown factory in 1931. Note: All car serial numbers started at 1,001.

Post all of the numbers that are on your Fisher Body cowl tag and we will tell you what those mean as well.

Filling station has a great cheep tool that you will use to install the U clip when ready...Buy a few of the clips also.

I do not think you need an "install tool". You just put the spring clip on the handle and press handle onto shaft and clip springs into place. Tool is only helpful for removal.

A little bit of White Lub on the tip of the post helps the clip expand to snap on.
