Does someone know how many 1974 Novas were built with the 350 V8 Engine. I have heard there were not many due to the gasoline crunch at that time. Most of them had the six.

Any information will be appreciated.

In 1974 there were 390,537 Novas sold.
219107 were 8 Cyl and 171,430 were 6 cyl.
13,708 had a 3 speed and floor shift.
My son had a Olds Omega with a 3 speed floor shift and a 6 cyl engine.

Back Roads,

In 1974 they made 390,937 total Novas
RPO L22 250 Cu.In. 6 cyl. total = 171,116
RPO L65 350 2bbl. V8= 189,705
RPO L48 350 4bbl. V8+ 14,597

If you have a four barrel you have a low production engine but a lot of people liked the 2bbl. 350. gifts

Thanks Scott. Ours is a 350 - 2bbl. Power Steering, Disc Brakes, AC. We are the second owners. The car had 26,900 miles on it when we purchased it in 1995. The car has just over 50,000 on it now. We bought it to tour with. It is HPOF and HPOCF certified.

Gene and Jim, I wish I had my '73 Hatchback. It was a 307 V8, 3 speed manual on the floor with buckets and A/C. My first real car I bought with my first professional paycheck.
