Has anyone noticed the post counter not working or is there something new in the works? I've noticed a lot of guys posts count not accending, like it's frozen or somthing. It's no big deal to me but there are few who seem to live on how many posts they have.
Just curious.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  Of course if you're getting posts moved,delete,etc.I guess it is hard to keep an accurate count. Maybe if you post a really good post you could get credit for two posts...smiles I'll mention this to Bill sometime. I went to make a big production about my 1000th post on this site in the "Old Photo Corner" thread, and noticed it didn't count. I aired out my grievance in the '37 to '42 area for the magical 1000th post! All of the magic of the moment was gone... but I'm fine now!

I understand that it doesn't count in the "General Discussion" forum but, It's not counting on the "37-42" forum also. I don't know about the other forums. Maybe It's to keep a certain few guys from getting their "Atta Boy!" Award.

I've had this happen in the "37-42" Forum, myself. It won't count for 3 to 4 posts, then resume counting...Here are a few tips to help you get the count going again: #1.Avoid being sarcastic ( Some of us don't find it amusing...) #2 Don't be a "smart-aleck" ( Again...Only slightly amusing...) #3. No Charlie  -isums...Let him "catch the flack" for those...  Does, too. Now, this is just a guide-line in general...I'm not pointing any fingers, kwchevy...Good luck, and may the counting resume...!

Maybe the "counter" is taking a break or is out to lunch for a while then comes back to counting and catches up. all of my postings today has been counted

I just checked and the 37-42 forum is set to increase counts for ALL folks who post there.
Also, the cache time is 30 minutes. So the generic totals (individual and top-posters) may be delayed by up to 30 minutes before they are updated.
I don't see any problems anywhere.
